beespace Expands into the United States
beespace is excited to announce its expansion into the United States with the hiring of two key team members: Christian Stines and Nick Masuda. This expansion strengthens their mission to provide smart building solutions, sustainable facilities management, and innovative IoT technology to U.S. educational institutions and businesses.
Christian Stines Joins beespace as U.S. Advisor
Christian brings over 20 years of international business experience to beespace, with a focus on the intersection of technology and security. A UC Davis graduate in Japanese language, Christian worked for two decades in one of the most progressive communities in the world in Berkeley, Calif., where he navigated the worlds of unions and security.
After retiring, he founded a consulting business specializing in exporting U.S. and UK security solutions, including body camera systems, bespoke British products, and software platforms to government agencies across Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Today, Christian works with start-ups spanning AI, sustainable materials, hospitality, and other innovation-driven ventures, leveraging his operational experience and global market knowledge to help emerging companies scale and succeed.
Christian’s Role at beespace:
As U.S. Advisor, Christian is leading beespace’s strategic U.S. expansion, establishing operational infrastructure and distribution networks to support scalable growth. His initial focus is on the Northeast academic sector, targeting universities and colleges to showcase beespace’s value in smart campus solutions.
By leveraging relationships within higher education and gaining a deep understanding of procurement cycles, Christian is developing a regional expansion strategy that will position beespace as a trusted partner across campuses in the Northeast, laying the foundation for broader U.S. market penetration.
Nick Masuda Joins beespace as Director of Market Strategy
Nick brings a dynamic background spanning journalism, global communications, digital innovation and market infiltration in highly competitive spaces — all essential for leading beespace’s market expansion in the U.S.
His experience includes working with successful organizations, including a technology company, where he optimized the company’s paid media strategy that led to hundreds of new clients in a matter of months. He had similar successes with Golfweek and its digital assets, leveraging real-time data in order to optimize content and presentation, taking an asset that was losing money into a seven-figure revenue generator in just 18 months.
He’s also had the reins to the Orlando Magic’s entire digital operation, helping the franchise to rank in the NBA’s top five in social media and website engagement.
Nick has traveled the world in order to build communication systems that are customized and personalized, even developing mobile assets that allowed for materials to be provided in 34 different languages across more than 120 countries. Most recently, he spent time in academia, where he ran marketing for Medgar Evers College, with his efforts leading to a 5% enrollment increase despite higher education suffering significant enrollment losses across the United States.
Finally, in his spare time, he has also developed his own marketing solutions business, working as a professional photographer (taking pics of anyone from Taylor Swift to U2 to The Rolling Stones), social media consultant and web developer.
Nick’s role at beespace
As Director of Market Strategy, Nick is driving beespace’s U.S. market expansion. This will involve researching and building new plans to allow beespace’s state-of-the-art technology to aid the U.S. in growing responsibilities surrounding facilities management, carbon footprint and environmental impact.
Drawing on his multidisciplinary background, Nick offers valuable insights into the needs of potential partners seeking cost-effective, sustainable smart building solutions — as well as new opportunities that will allow beespace to expand into new markets beyond the educational sector.
Strengthening beespace’s U.S. Presence
With Christian and Nick joining the team, beespace is well-positioned to scale its smart building technology across the United States, partnering with universities and businesses to optimize space management, sustainability, and environmental impact tracking.
We are thrilled to welcome them both to beespace and look forward to advancing our mission of smarter, more sustainable spaces.
